A Mixture of Visions

Oh my how the time flies by!
I cannot believe I have not written anything here for the past 6 months.  Then again, it has been quite a ride for the past six months!!!

Some medical issues that should have been short - ended up taking over the last half of the year.  What I have gotten out of it all, is that life is an amazing journey that should not be taken for granted.  Love those near and dear to you...but don't forget the ones that are not currently in sight.  Friends, family, neighbors, doctors, teachers, pastors, grocery clerks, waiters, bankers, garbage collectors, they all matter.  When you think you have no one...that is when your true friends and family show up.  At all hours of the night, to make a meal or lend a hand.  "That's what friends are for" has developed an entirely new meaning for me today.  At the brink of death, frustrated and confused, they all rallied around me and pulled me through.  This year will not be forgotten - nor life taken lightly ever again.  I love you all....more than you know....thank you for showing me I matter!

As another month comes to a close...let's take a look at what I have uncovered. God's beauty is amazing and wonderful, making the mind ponder the intricate patterns and timeless efforts of His work. How did He think of such things? How does this happen? The overall picture is beautiful, as the inner workings are astounding. Browse thru...comment on what you like - or suggest something for my next venture.

Either way, I am so happy you stopped by, and I hope to hear from you soon. All photographs are available for purchase. Please do not copy or use without permission. It's the photographers code and the right thing to do. Thank you.....

Here are a few of my favorite things today.....

Love in the Rose Garden

One of the things I love about living in the Portland area, is the Rose Garden.  This time of year is truly an amazing opportunity to see why we are called the "Rose City".  The colors, the smells, the excitement of strolling throughout the rows and rows of beautiful shapes and sizes of this flower we have come to know as the symbol of "love".
Please take a look at these with me - leave a comment as to what your favorite is.  We only grow thru our knowledge of how to listen.  My eyes and ears are tools.....

An Abundance of Choices

Taking a drive to Bob'z Garden Center is such a joy.  Not only are the employees very knowledgeable and extremely friendly, but the assortment of "treasures" to choose from is definitely in abundance.  Although they may be a smaller garden center, they have so much to look at, smell, feel, touch, and yes...even taste!  Make sure to stop over there while planning your garden and landscaping needs.  If you have any questions, Lieta and the gang will be more than able to help you.

Look thru these photos and see why a drive to Aloha (they are just off 182nd & TV Hwy in the Aloha Villa Mall) should be on your list today!

Beautiful Garden Centers - Wonderful Selections

This is the time of year for everyone to get their "gardening on"!  The weather is finally here and the selection is abundant.  What better time than Mother's Day to buy the assortment of your dreams.

I made a trip around to see what there was to pick up, and was pleasantly surprised to see that all the garden centers around have their "best" primed and ready for purchase.

Here are a few shots of what I found...you make the choice...it was so hard for me to choose just one, so of course I had to buy a bunch!

Weekend to Get Started!

Here comes the weekend we have all been waiting for - are you ready?
This wonderful brand of soil can be found at your local Dennis' 7 Dees Landscaping & Garden Center.

Use it to plant one of their amazing little mini gardens for your patio.  It's sure to make you smile on those days when the sun isn't shining so bright.

Find yourself a pot from their wide assortment of colorful shapes and sizes - and make yours this weekend!

While you're there, make sure to check out the hanging baskets.....
Now all you need to do is take it all home and have "fun in the sun" creating your own special corner to relax in.

Be sure to tell them Terri sent you!  Maybe I'll see you there.

All in a Days Travel.....

Dennis' 7 Dees Landscaping & Garden Center in Cedar Mill was today's focus.  Such a wide display of garden veggies was uncovered during my visit.  The vibrant greens drew me in...while the thought of growing a wonderful assortment of tantalizing treasures in my garden kept me looking thru the rows wanting more.  Here are a few shots of what's waiting for you too!
